We didn't start with a solution.
We started with the problem.
Workback.ai was born inside one of the world's largest EdTech platforms, witnessing the collision of rapid growth and accessibility paralysis.
Built from experience, not theory.
At Coursera, Priyank led accessibility for the Degrees program — the highest-stakes product line serving hundreds of thousands of students through university partnerships.
He lived the pain firsthand. Every release cycle meant the same thing: manual audits that took weeks. Cross-functional meetings that went in circles. Engineers pulled off product work to fix WCAG issues they weren't trained on. VPAT deadlines that made sales teams nervous. And through it all, the real goal — making sure every student could actually use the product — kept getting buried under process.
The harder the team worked, the further behind they fell. New features shipped, new accessibility gaps opened. Compliance wasn't a project you finished. It was a treadmill.
Priyank saw the same pattern everywhere he looked across EdTech: smart teams, good intentions, broken process. The tooling didn't exist to make accessibility compliance continuous, automatic, and high quality. So he decided to build it.

The problem every EdTech team knows but nobody has solved.
Situation
Modern learning platforms ship new features continuously — but every release can introduce new accessibility barriers. Without automation, teams have no way to keep up.
Problem
Legacy audit tools only flag errors; they don't fix them. This leaves engineering teams stuck in a loop of endless tickets and technical debt.
Implication
Millions of learners are excluded, and institutions face escalating legal risks and reputational damage that threatens their core mission.
Workback.ai exists to make this problem disappear.
We aren't building just another scanner. We've built an intelligence layer that works backward from the student experience to ensure compliance is baked into the very fabric of your delivery.
